Alexandra Dane's end of life experience caring for parents, grandparents and friends later returned her to caregiving as a volunteer for Hospice in Massachusetts. She writes about death, dying and care giving, exploring this tremendous force of nature that continually changes her world and the lives of those around her. Currently, she is in ongoing cancer recovery herself.
A teaching degree from Boston University and a Masters in Public Administration from Seattle University, Alexandra Dane has participated in The Writer’s Workshop in Seattle and Hugo House, grateful for her mentors Nick O'Connell, Nicole Hardy and the poet Tara Hardy.
Alexandra Dane describes herself as a mom, recovering yogi, highly caffeinated and curious human. She writes from a quiet space in Seattle, and a home near the sea, north of Boston. She knits to think.
